  A Lion male portrait I did last Saturday as a watercolour demonstration for an adult painting class . I have to say that I painted the portrait up to a certain point in the class and finished it at home because of lack of time ..I rarely paint or draw Lions, except maybe of life studies I did in the Zoo.I have the impression that there are more than enough artists in the world, many excellent, some less skilled who are mainly painting Lions and I don`t think that I have something new to add...

After more than a year and when I heard that this day is going to be the warmest of the month , I went back to the Park , where I was lucky and glad to meet an old friend who led me to a "new " Owl in a "new" location. The guy here was very shy and as soon as someone came too close to his tree disappead in his hole. It took me almost the double time I usually need to finish the drawing, waiting for the owl to reappear. Drawn with various Sepia fineliners & Faber-Castell Pitt pens
