Dougalis Wildlifeart-Life studies-Portraits

 A northern Lynx portrait I`ve just finished, drawn with various fineliners & Pitt pens on Strathmore toned gray mixed media paper.     

  I spent few hours in the Zoo lately and this is what I managed to sketch..Not every attempt leads to a pleasing result which is obvious in the two Lynx studies..I wasn`t pleased with the first  and started a second one...   WOOD BISON    HARTMANN´S MOUNTAIN ZEBRA    LYNX 1 ATTEMPT    LYNX 2 ATTEMPT    MARKHOR GOAT     ROCK PARTRIDGE       

  I haven`t been in the Zoo to sketch for a while and I feared that I`m getting rusty.. I need to exercise more.. Attached the day`s harvest of quick studies    

 A Tawny owl drawn from life yesterday in the Park . Suddently the spring appeared with rising temperatures and I had to go out ..   

  A Tawny owl drawn from life today in the morning in Nymphenburg park in Munich. I heard that the weather is going to be somewhat warmer reaching 9 degrees Celcius and hoped to find an owl to sketch. We expect snow tomorrow...I managed to finish this but until it was completed I experienced many frustrating moments!
