Dougalis Wildlifeart-Life studies-Portraits

  I went and spent few hours in the Park again today to study the same Owl as I did in my last visit, but focussing on the owl this time trying to capture more plumage details. And I used gouache colours instead of watercolours but worked in a watercolour manner   

  A Tawny owl study painted in watercolours from life today in the morning.A good friend called me and told me about an Owl in a new spot. I haven`t been in the park and didn`t use watercolours for studies outdoors for ages and the selft doupt was increasing...I had to prove it to my self that I still can do it!                   

  A Dog portrait I did lately as a watercolour demonstration for an evening art class in Munich, the last one for this summer.

  A common kingfisher painted as a watercolour demonstration for an adult art class in Munich last week. Also a ttached, as I did also in the past, a series of images which show the progress of the Kingfisher portrait from the initial drawing to the finished watercolour

 This male Snowy owl has been painted from life in Munich zoo today in the morning. He was pretty busy feeding his mate and chicks  but stayed long enough on the spot to be painted. Gouache
