New Tawny owl study from Nymphenburg park

This morning I was able to visit after months the Schloss Nymphenburg, in Munich, looking for a Tawny owl in the park which was not painted yet..Thanks to good friend Heinz Peter, who confirmed his preseence, I went there early in the morning and managed to do this watercolour study.Attached also a short video taken by the same friend during the action..

Since the most if not all of us are forced to live in a self-isolation, and don`t have the possibility to go outdoors to sketch from life which I`m missing most, I decided to start drawing from my own videos. Thylacine or Tasmanian tiger -The adventure of a study

..The Thylacine is a legendary species which lived in Australia and Tasmania and seems that is already extinct, since there is no credible evidence that the animal still exist for decades now. Attached, my efforts to depict the animal, starting with the initial pencil drawing , and showing the process step by step to the finished pen drawing. Eventually , I noticed several mistakes on his anatomy, decided to revise the image, started a couple of watercolours, and managed to complete at least one .
