Falcon studies at Wildpark Poing

I spend few hours in Wildpark Poing (close to Munich) today in the morning. This is my first ever study of a Gyrfalcon from life.According to falconer one of the siberian race. Still moulting, missing few primaries and tail feathers.I`d love to do some more studies of the Peregrines too, but my time was limited and I managed to sketch just a couple of head studies. Thylacine or Tasmanian tiger -The adventure of a study

..The Thylacine is a legendary species which lived in Australia and Tasmania and seems that is already extinct, since there is no credible evidence that the animal still exist for decades now. Attached, my efforts to depict the animal, starting with the initial pencil drawing , and showing the process step by step to the finished pen drawing. Eventually , I noticed several mistakes on his anatomy, decided to revise the image, started a couple of watercolours, and managed to complete at least one . Bird head sketches

Since the most if not all of us are forced to live in a self-isolation, and don`t have the possibility to go outdoors to sketch from life which I`m missing most, I decided to start drawing from my own videos. Every time I was travelling , I was taking a lot of footage mainly of birds. Attached in this case, songbird heads based on video I took while in Greece back in 2012. Fineliners
