  A life study of a Tawny owl painted this time in English garden Park in Munich. There were also four chicks to be seen but I didn`t have the chance to sketch one. Painted solely by brush withour preliminary pencil drawing. Watercolours

  I spent some valuable time in the field today in the morning sketching a family of Long eared owls. Sadly , then came the rain and I had to drive back home. Also, few photos of mine taken by a friend while I was sketching the owl.           

Just got it fresh from the printers, a new book about the meadow in summer, containing more than 100 images painted and drawn by me. Always a pleasure to see my work printed! Many thanks to my publisher KOSMOS and author Daniela Strauß for trusting me again to do the job...

T awny owl of the reddish phase painted from life yesterday in the Nymphenburg Park-Munich. Watercolours    

Just finished, a commissioned Maori woman portrait based on a photograph taken in Manaia-New Zealand back in 1873. Acrylics on canvas. Attached also , the original photograph and a preliminary watercolour.  

  After months , I managed to visit the Park again and sketch a Tawny owl using fineliners and Pitt pens . The weather was sunny but still pretty cold...

A Eurasian Wolf in the Slovenian forests. A watercolour painted for the "Living with wolves"project in Slovenia . A cooperation of Artists for Nature foundation and the University of Ljubljana.I had the fortune to be one from the six artists who took part in this project last summer spending a memorable week in the Slovenian mountains. Also attached some development steps photographed during the  creation of the painting
